Liverpool's New Signing of the Summer::Glen Johnson

Pay £ 17m for a right back? If you are currently spending 20 million pounds? At least Rafael Benítez has not disguised the fact Liverpool paying a premium for Glen Johnson to Portsmouth. "Sometimes you have to spend a little more," the Liverpool manager, said today as he waited for the England international to £ 80,000 per week, four-year contract-signing, and reduce frustration and to transfer the Anfield over the next days. Liverpool do not spend a little more. You will spend 7 million pounds more than they were recorded in January. However, it should not affect the total amount, which is an important conclusion for Benítez Johnson is in many ways.

Es sind Ereignisse rund um Liverpool, und nicht im Inneren, die ein Gefühl der Angst um das Geschäft an der Anfield Road in diesem Sommer gefördert haben. May change and, without prejudice, with Javier Mascherano in Barcelona to lift her skirt, while the search for a pay rise of Liverpool, Xabi Alonso and a serious purpose for Real Madrid. But now Benítez is exactly where he intends to be in the transfer market. Liverpool, as manager, said in the last months of last season, well only if a substantial part of the agreement this summer. Johnson, despite the costs met this requirement perfectly, we propose an affair with a finished product that was missing since the Reds defenders Markus Babbel, has been affected by the disease.

Financially Johnson is not the hit drama over the budget Benítez, it seems. Liverpool still had 7 million pounds of Peter Crouch to Fratton Park last year, money that now will travel to the transfer of Johnson written off, and the Spaniard is just, the poor, this summer. Even if he resists the advances of the Spanish giants for Mascherano and Alonso, Benitez could still spend approximately 30 million pounds to more aggressive targets if, as expected, he blows his finances with the remaining sales Alvaro Arbeloa, Andrea Dossena Andriy Voronin and Sebastian Leto .

It is rendered if the wealth of Chelsea and Manchester City, two clubs that the extension will require more than Liverpool, Benítez will struggle to be competitive and Gareth Barry Eastlands step would be a loss of more than Alonso represent the push for a transfer Madrid. With the rejection of a return to Chelsea and not entertaining the city to move when he wants the Champions League, Johnson has the Liverpool manager and his team early confidence vote. Neglect of all, it also adds another record in the English language by a team to meet the difficulties for the ratio of UEFA for "locally trained" or "association-trained" players a problem that Benitez could not afford to be.

"We are not in the first four of the Premier League can compete, if you spend money," said the Liverpool manager. "We were for a quality player and also someone who is Colombia because of the new rules of the Champions League. Glen Johnson fits both categories.

Lescott completes Manchester City move

Joleon Lescott finally completed his move from Everton to Manchester City.

The 27-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract with the company Eastlands last night.

Lescott yesterday concluded his medical and agreed personal terms after the city had an offer of £ 22 million from Everton had taken on Sunday, but there was a short time, the star of England has been resolved by a transfer minor dispute.

Confirmation of the transfer of expenditure was Mark Hughes, "more than £ 120million.

Lescott should now be officially presented tomorrow, and could make his debut in the game on Sunday Premier League with Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

City boss Mark Hughes told the club's official website www.mcfc.co.uk: "I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Joleon at Manchester City. It is an England international, who his ability in the Premier League during his time at Everton proved.

"By Joleon club, I think we've hired a lawyer of the highest quality. He can play in a series of defensive positions, and I am sure he will make a significant impact for us."

Lescott is the eighth new signing Mark Hughes this summer and is considered the long-term for the central defensive partner Kolo Toure.

And news of the arrival of the former Wolves man at Eastlands has filed a complaint immediately, that the City has accepted an offer of 6 million pounds from Aston Villa for Richard Dunne.

The Blues have not confirmed this trend. However, it would not be surprised if Dunne was to be abandoned, is not likely that he was satisfied with life as his replacement, especially since Hughes Mladen Petric offered a long term contract last month.

Lescott said: "I am overjoyed to complete the transition, and I look forward to training with the guys, because I trained not only for a few days.

"I know some guys already - I am a close friend were playing with Shaun (Wright-Phillips), we are against each other since we were 16 or 17 years. The way this club is to continue, I am really curious part of it. "

Lescott is to be unveiled at the press conference at the City of Manchester Stadium tomorrow at 11 clock.

Aquilani promises Liverpool he will be worth the wait

Alberto Aquilani, the proposals on which it is a pity, themes and promised to Liverpool, it proves the value of money but probably one of the first two months of the season, sitting in the sidelines.

With around £ 20m Roma, Aquilani Rafael Benítez is the most expensive since the signing of Liverpool guaranteed runners-up place in the Premier League until the end of last season. But one fourth of the season could be in front of the Italian competition for the strengthening of a midfield player Xabi Alonso weakened by the issue of Real Madrid, is calling the spread ankle problem, which by him for the last five months, and the arch over the Copy

Aquilani is convalescent after an operation on his right ankle in May, on his time after the Roma mitigated by an injury problem. He played only 73 games in three years and his last appearance came as a substitute, 11 March, against Arsenal in the Champions League.

Aquilani, 25 years old, he would have been in the queue on Sunday Tottenham fixture on television was not errors, by the doctors of Rome. "Originally the problem was that my ankle has been neglected," said Aquilani, who was forced to embark on a thorough medical before signing for Liverpool. "We thought it a simple injury and I to play. Then I had to stop because he has not felt good.

"There was a problem with the Roma camps in medical devices that doctors no longer change, I have never been maintained by the same person. Perhaps it is at this time I began to have problems."

Aquilani believes he is wrongly attributed to the reputation, to hurt subjects. He admits that his problems were, but no more than any other player. "The injuries are part of the work of a football player," said Aquilani, which has worked with the former Roma-Liverpool player John Arne Riise before the transition to Anfield.

"Liverpool was, I had some injuries, but they recognize that they are not serious," he said. "It's a shame that I did not play. But I work very hard on this to problems in the future."

Benítez rubbished suggestions the arrival Aquilani is a result of the use of the player's injury record. Liverpool must travel to the other end of the East Lancashire Road, to the risks associated with the issue of sums of money on a player with a history of injuries.

Owen Hargreaves' career at Manchester United, has been hit hard by a tendon inflammation since midfield player in England, £ 20.2 from Bayern Munich two years ago. But Benítez Aquilani has no doubts about his talent and sees in him a greater threat, Alonso, and a greater physical presence.

The Liverpool manager also believes the recent signing of the unfortunate situation. "Perhaps it may help Alberto, that he has not thrown in the right," said Benítez. "It is never easy, in a new club in a new country, so that if he should play, it would be difficult for him and the people begin to speak, not be ready.

"We were playing Oldham in a friendly atmosphere on Wednesday and he looked at me with. We have before the season, the role of actors and he knows now. Not everything in it also an opportunity to improve their English, and make it easier."

Aquilani is hoping that it is not compared to Alonso. "It was a very important player in this club. But I'm not his deputy, of course, that I did not have the same properties as it," he said. "I have a different style that I love to move and not on the same place to stay. "

Italy said that he had opposed alongside Steven Gerrard after his new team, marking the strongest midfield players in the world. " Yet Gerrard is in his own personal fitness race at the head of the team on Sunday.

The captain of Liverpool has an intensive treatment since the retreat of the team for England friendly on Wednesday in the Netherlands due to an injury in the groin area. "How is our game on Sunday, then Steven has a chance," said Benítez. "If it's on Saturday, it will be difficult."

Will Vieira return to Higbury?

Well, Arsenal need a defensive midfield before the season starts, we assume it was just a matter of time that, in connection with the former captain Patrick Vieira.

French was the target of Tottenham as he sees himself ready, in South Africa in 2010, and on Sunday have revealed that manager Arsene Wenger believes it back into the club that he loves the place.

Arsenal have not won a small bean, since he left in 2005, and even if they are contrary to its policy of signing young players and developing primarily Wenger is probably as big as the fans are the part to return to the great.

If everyone is a little of the history of Xabi Alonso, the Daily Mail can help you. They think that the project to the people of Liverpool to Real Madrid is finished and the red tail is already replaced.

Rafa Benitez is apparently preparing a bid of £ 12m Lee Cattermole Wigan midfield and provides £ 5.5m Hull defender Michael Turner - even if the two players the clubs confirmed that the desire not sell one of them in recent weeks.

A man who is not back in Liverpool Robbie Keane. The Irishman is back in the Spurs, but even if he says it really is very happy about the signing of Peter Crouch, it is not the case, is not a game. Daily Mail, that Aston Villa are monitoring the situation - even if they do not seem interested that the last time.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Manchester United or City - where is the Premier League's top hitman hiding?

With the big kick-off just 10 days away, we take a look at the contenders for the 2009/10 Golden Boot.

When teammates are fight
ing each other on foreign so
il, the Special One is lauding Sky Sports on a round-the-

clock basis and Liverpool are once more being tippe
d for glory, it can only m
ean one thing . The start of the Premier League season is
nearly upon us.

With all the preview

supplements flooding the news stands and two-bob pred

ictions being handed out by every Wayne, Dirk and Barry, I thought I’d jump on the

bandwagon myself and try to figure out who might finish the season as the top marksm

an in the top division.

Let’s start by looking at

everyone’s favourite Madridista -Fernando Torres. The former Atletico man has bagged an extraordinary 38 goals in 49 league starts since his £26.5m move to Anfield two summers ago.

His talent is undisputed, as is his ability to score on the big occasion, having netted against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the last couple years. Indeed, he scored his very first Liverpool goal against the London team.

The key to Torres topping the pile will be the deployment of Steven Gerrard. The two dovetailed superbly last season as Gerrard was let off the leash by Rafael Benitez, but with Xabi Alonso departing for pastures new it remains to be seen whether Liverpool’s talismanic captain will retain the free role he so relishes.

Then again, if Gerrard is kept in the final third by Benitez then it is not inconceivable that he could outscore his strike partner. He managed a highly respectable 15 goals last campaign and that was without the assistance of Torres for large periods due to the Spaniard’s injury problems.

Add to this the fact that he is Liverpool’s incumbent penalty taker (and is not exactly averse to hitting the ground to win them) and he might be a good outside bet.

Moving along the M62 to Manchester United, there will be much expected of Dimitar Berbatov as he seeks to fill the goal-scoring void left by the prolific Cristiano Ronaldo. Just nine goals in his debut season with the Red Devils was not what Sir Alex Ferguson paid almost £31m for and a 50 percent improvement will be the bare minimum required from the Bulgarian.

His record at Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen show he is more than capable - with a strike-rate of one in two at both clubs - though perhaps United’s main representative in the table will beWayne Rooney.

The pugnacious Scouser will be chomping at the bit now that he no longer has to compete with a Portuguese winger for the spotlight – unless, of course, a miracle occurs and Nani actually learns how to play football.

Rooney’s achilles heel, though, is that he only ever scores in spurts before hitting a barren patch in front of goal. He will need to hit the back of the net on a more consistent basis if he wants to pick up the Golden Boot.

For Rooney to score all those goals he will have to play more centrally but it might just be that he is once again shunted out onto the flanks to accommodate a certain Michael Owen.

The former Liverpool striker’s goalscoring exploits are well-documented and although he is unlikely to scream past defenders any more, he has always profited from good service, something that is guaranteed at Old Trafford.

Lest we forget, it was Chelsea who fielded last season’s most productive striker in the form of Nicolas Anelka. It was claimed that he was simply a flat-track bully capable only of scoring goals against the likes of Sunderland and West Brom, though he did score in each of his games against Aston Villa as well as his obligatory goal against his former employers, Arsenal.

For the second half of the season he was posted on the right flank and the goals dried up, but on the one occasion that he played in an orthodox partnership with Didier Drogba – a set-up likely to be used this season by Carlo Ancelotti - he scored one and made the other two in the 3-1 home win against Fulham.

It seems, though, that the greater beneficiary of this pairing will be the barnstorming Drogba. His power and ability to hold the ball are assets well known to the football fraternity (as are his Bafta-winning antics closer to the ground) but it has also been proven that as a goal-machine he is more effective in a front two.

The imposing Ivorian was the Premier League’s leading marksman in the 2006-07 season when the purchases of Andrei Shevchenko and Michael Ballack forced then manager Jose Mourinho to play with a diamond in midfield and two strikers.

It may have signalled the end of Chelsea’s league domination but it supplied Drogba with the bullets that fired him to the top of the goalscoring charts and become the first Blues player to hit 20 league goals in a season since Kerry Dixon.

Robin van Persie at Arsenal has always shown form in front of goal, though injuries seem to play a factor every season. The jury is still out on Eduardo – despite having a natural eye for goal – though the departure to Eastlands of Emmanuel Adebayorshould mean that Arsene Wenger will select him in his starting 11 on a more regular basis.

Manchester City have an impressive artillery to choose from but it is as yet unclear who will feature week-to-week out of Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez, Robinho, Craig Bellamy and the aforementioned Adebayor.

One player who has not yet been mentioned is Tottenham’sJermain Defoe, who will be gunning for a place in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad, and a continuation of his career average of a goal every other game could propel him to the top of the standings.

Away from the stellar names, there is always scope for a previously unsung player or one playing for an unfashionable club – Kevin Phillips in 1999-2000 springs to mind - to upset the established order and take the honours against all odds.

However, I feel, predictably, that the top goalscorer will come from one of the Big Four . How about yours?

Man United’s Move for £5.5m Brazilian is as Dead as a….

MANCHESTER UNITED V VALENCIA CF

Jonny Evans: Ready, willing and able.

Manchester United have pulled the plug on a deal for Corinthians defender Dodo.

The Times says United have decided not to sanction a £5.5 million deal to sign Dodô, the Corinthians defender, in the immediate future but will continue to monitor the 17-year-old Brazilian after he spent two weeks on trial recently.

The youngster was expected to move to United in February. (Times Online)

It appears the headline makers dream move will not after all be completed this summer. The much vaunted Brazilian youngster seemed likely to be the latest member of the club’s Samba club, but the deal appears to have turned sour. Should United fans be worried about the centre of their defence? Well as a fan, I can tell you I am not worried, not one little bit.

If the unthinkable does happen, and Vidic and Ferdinand find themselves out of action at the exact same time then we may have a little trouble, but that can be said of any club who loses the heart of their defence. However Jonny Evans is ready, willing and able to fill in if needed. Then of course Wes Brown is a capable centre back, hell even Gary Neville can be called upon to cover the breach. We also have the likes of youngsters James Chester and Craig Cathcart to revert to if the club is struck down by a huge injury disaster. To be honest our squad is almost TOO big, so no need to bring in yet more mouths to feed.

Chelsea’s Move for Pirlo Over as Italian Commits to AC Milan for Life!

Andrea Pirlo

Andrea Pirlo has ended speculation that he will join Chelsea by announcing that he has been taken off the transfer market by AC Milan and hopes to stay with the Serie A side for the rest of his career.

Andrea Pirlo hopes to help AC Milan overcome the loss of Paolo Maldini and Kaka this season.

The Italy midfielder has been linked with a move to the big-spending English Premier League club since coach Carlo Ancelotti quit Milan at the end of May and agreed to take over from Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge.

The 30-year-old revealed on the Milan Web site that new team boss Leonardo was happy to keep him at the San Siro.

“Today is a great day, I’m very happy to be able to end my career here,” Pirlo said on Thursday.

“This is thanks to president Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani and Leonardo who have given me the possibility to end my career here by taking me off the market.

“When they communicated this news to me, we were all happy. Finally this story ends and I can continue my adventure with the Rossoneri. (CNN)

This will come as a blow to Carlo Ancelotti who was clearly very keen to sign his former AC Milan favourite and no doubt the west London club’s supporters who had hoped the Italian international would make the move to west London.

It appears the move may have just been a ploy to get himself a new deal at the San Siro, I know, who would have thought it! It’s so unlike a player to do something like that, but hey ho, it was always going to be hard to fit the visionary veteran into the clubs now crowded midfield.

OFFICIAL: LIVERPOOL AGREE ALONSO DEAL

Liverpool agree to sale of Alonso

Xabi Alonso
Alonso has been linked with a return to Spain for some time

Liverpool have reached an agreement to sell midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, subject to a medical.

The fee for the Spanish international is reported to be in the region of £30m but Liverpool said the terms of the deal would remain confidential.

The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Real Sociedad in August 2004.

A statement on Real's website confirmed the news and added that Alonso will arrive in Madrid on Wednesday "to undergo the required medical".

If the deal goes through Alonso will become the second Liverpool player to join the Spanish giants after full-back Alvaro Arbeloa's switch to the Bernabeu last week.

Real, under the guidance of returning president Florentino Perez, have embarked on an ambitious rebuilding programme this summer and Alonso's arrival will push their spending beyond the £200m mark.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived from Manchester United in a world record £80m deal, Brazilian playmaker Kaka was bought from AC Milan for £56m and they have also spent £30m to sign France striker Karim Benzema from Lyon.

In addition defender Raul Albiol was signed from Valencia as Real looked to build a squad capable of challenging for honours at both home and abroad.

Rivals Barcelona completed a clean-sweep of domestic trophies in Spain last season, while Real have failed to progress beyond the last 16 of the Champions League for the past five seasons.

When the deal for Alonso is completed it will bring to an end Real's long pursuit of the Spanish international.

In July Real sporting director Miguel Pardeza was quoted as saying "Madrid don't discard an option until it is truly impossible", after reports suggested Liverpool wanted £50m for the midfielder.

It is believed Real returned with an offer of £30m that could rise to £34m depending on Alonso's success in Spain.

He will join former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek at the Bernabeu, leaving only Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher from Liverpool's 18-man squad that won the Champions League in 2005.

Alonso and Dudek were both part of the side that dramatically fought back from 3-0 down against AC Milan to win the trophy in a penalty shoot-out, Alonso scoring Liverpool's third and equalising goal on 59 minutes.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez had tried to sell the Spanish international last summer as he looked to fund a move for midfielder Gareth Barry from Aston Villa.

However, Alonso did not want to move and a deal for Barry eventually fell through, with Alonso going on to play a key role as Liverpool finished second in the Premier League.

Chelsea to splash £100million!!!

Chelsea expect to complete the signing of Andrea Pirlo this week and will then intensify their efforts to lure Franck Ribery and Sergio Aguero to Stamford Bridge.

The trio would cost Roman Abramovich the best part of £100million in transfer fees alone but the Chelsea owner is determined to prove he has not lost the appetite to compete in the transfer market, despite a slow start to his summer trading.

When John Terry agreed to commit his future to the club last week, he cited a pledge from Abramovich to bolster the squad with star names as a key reason.

On his way: AC Milan and Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo is destined to follow Andriy Shevchenko's footsteps from the San Siro and join Chelsea this week

On his way: AC Milan and Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo is destined to follow Andriy Shevchenko's footsteps from the San Siro and join Chelsea this week

Since then, Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of 30-year-old Pirlo and are bracing themselves to fight Manchester United for both Aguero and Ribery in a pre-season transfer duel which could prove crucial to this season's Barclays Premier League title race.

Pirlo looks set for west London, with new manager Carlo Ancelotti intending to field him as a deep-lying playmaker at the bottom of his midfield diamond with a brief to dictate the rhythm of the team.

AC Milan are wary of the potential reaction from their supporters after seeing the popular trio of Ancelotti, Paolo Maldini and Kaka all leave the San Siro this summer.

Vice-president Adriano Galliani and new manager Leonardo have consistently claimed Pirlo is not for sale, but they are aware he is anxious to follow his mentor to Stamford Bridge and Milan are privately committed to rejuvenating their ageing squad to compete with Inter Milan.

Milan rejected Chelsea's initial approach for Pirlo but an improved bid of £12million plus striker Claudio Pizarro could persuade them to do business, possibly in time for the Italian midfielder to make his debut against Manchester United in the Community Shield.

Sunday's clash at Wembley will be the precursor to an August duel between Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson because United are also keen on signing Aguero from Atletico Madrid, who rate him at £45m.

Personal terms may yet prove the stumbling block for Aguero, on target in London for Atletico against Paris St-Germain in the pre-season Emirates Cup on Sunday.

Spot on: Chelsea are keen on Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero - but his wage demands could prove a potential stumbling block

The Argentine wanted weekly wages close to £200,000 a week when there was initial interest from Chelsea and United at the start of the transfer window but he will have to lower his demands to secure a move to the Barclays Premier League.

Talk to Franck: Ribery is another Blues target and the Frenchman is eager to quit Bayern Munich

Talk to Franck: Ribery is another Blues target and the Frenchman is eager to quit Bayern Munich

Ancelotti, though, has identified the need for more energy in Chelsea's attack, which is why he is encouraging Abramovich to force through deals for Aguero and Ribery, either of which would break Manchester City's British transfer record of £34m for Robinho.

United have also shown an interest in Ribery, as have Barcelona and Real Madrid during a summer of transfer rumours surrounding the winger, but Chelsea believe they will have the edge in the race for the French international, who wants to leave Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid, Ribery's first choice of destination, have cooled their interest since landing Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo and Abramovich, who has pursued the gifted 26-year-old through the summer, is prepared to go through the £40m barrier to add Ribery's raw pace to his experienced Chelsea squad.

Bayern insist Ribery must honour his contract with the German side but this stance will be tested by the millions on offer as the days tick towards the transfer deadline at the end of the month

Manchester United linked with moves for David Silva & Sergio Aguero

According to the News of the World today, "Manchester United will tell Valencia to name their price for David Silva this week. Although boss Sir Alex Ferguson claims United are not in the market for further signings, they are prepared to deal at the right price." Valencia would be more willing to allow Silva to leave than David Villa and could be forced to let their left winger depart if he makes public his desire to join Manchester United. Silva, 23, came through the ranks at Valencia and has played 26 times for Spain, scoring three goals and he was part of the successful Euro 2008 team. Last season he missed two months with an ankle injury and in total played 22 games, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. Silva is contracted to Valencia until the end of the 2012/2013 season and although he is predominantly a left winger he can also play on the right or through the middle. Over in the Daily Star Sunday, John Richardson claims "Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has targeted Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero as the man to score the missing Old Trafford goals." Sergio Aguero, 21, came through the ranks at Independiente and joined Atletico Madrid during the 2006/2007 season. In 2007/2008 he scored 23 goals in 43 appearances and during 2008/2009 he claimed 21 goals in 45 games and also provided eight assists. Nicknamed "Kun," after a Japanese cartoon character, Aguero was voted FIFA Young Player of the Year in 2007 and is developing into one of the most prolific strikers in world football. Despite his young age he has played 15 times for the Argentinean national team and scored six goals.

Arsenal Talk Today!

Arsène Wenger is really the signature of the examination of his former master of a pay-as-you-up in a movement that is inconsistent with the foundations of its transfer policy.

It is quite against-intuitive. Wenger is famous gerontophobic only 30 players a year, a treaty of enlargement and signs of excessive use and they are going. As manager, he admits, and is ruthlessly, if it decides a player has its peak when he is with Robert Pires, Vieira and Thierry Henry himself, he can go. The relative ease with which Kolo Toure was able to leave for Manchester City, was based in part, the theory that even with only 28 of his best years behind him, be.

Thus, it is difficult to understand who is behind a move to think Vieira, 33, seems to have lost its edge. What is Wenger thinking? It was usual for its refined, even on the question of why he has his approach. "If I Patrick, let me explain why I have a policy," he said. "I go to all the options we have during the week. I think we have a strong team, and if we can now add one or two other players, us. "

The last time, Vieira has a bullet in an Arsenal shirt was also the last time she won a trophy. He defeated the winners of the trouble Shoot-Out, the 2005 FA Cup final, and fired Juventus Turin in the summer. During the infertile period - by far the longest of his time Arsenal - Wenger must not fail in his leadership team, the head quiet accountability, the ball, but not in decibels John Terry style role of captain. Given think about moving, Vieira, Wenger must acknowledge he was wrong.

A presence of Vieira, he has an aura. It is intimidation of the opposition and protect his players. No doubt, therefore, aim to Wenger, who then pitch a coach, a means of projecting his voice in the thickness of the Thursday

It is the enthusiasm among the players. "I had the chance to train with him and play with him, if I first came [in 2003] and it is great guide," said Johan Djourou. "It may be the group, as he wants. He is a winner. I heard that the possibility of surrender, but it is not for us players, it is the boss. But he is a man with a great character and why not? We are a young team and sometimes we lack the experience. He's. Thus, the boss, if it or not. "

The problem is, as the integration of its lack of mobility of this team. Perhaps Vieira Wenger sees in another role. It can not be more than box-to-Box crazy, which makes such a successful player violence, in the late 90s, but if Wenger can play like Claude Makelele, asks him to go back and four of us break the opposition attacks, it would not work. Denilson not the role of anchor for the moment, but only 21 hours and enjoy not playing so often. As a bonus, Vieira amount of help with the defensive problems shrapnel.

If Vieira or not, the edge of panic, to the accompaniment of some comments from the Arsenal perspective has been exaggerated. What is evident in the 2-1 victory yesterday over Atletico Madrid in the Emirates Cup is a lot about Wenger squad.

Wenger Zaum on proposals that the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor in the city, it briefly fornt, rattles through the options, it has a future: Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott, Carlos Vela, Eduardo and Andrei Arshavin, Arsenal two goals in the objectives of the next bank.

Then there is the long-distance recording of Tomas Rosicky, back in shape after 18 months of injury. However, Arshavin was the remarkable artists and Wenger is confident it is a "great influence" of this season.

The only player of the quality of Arshavin's performance yesterday was Jack Wilshere, the part of Russia to low gravity, the innovative spirit and the ball. "Jack Wilshere matured over a year ago, it has more power to the man," said Wenger. "He has some power that makes it even more dangerous. Patience is not your first at that age, but it is a great club. We have management as well as. Jack can play some games -- it causes things to destabilize his opponents, he claims to power, but has shown in pre-season, he has the power. "
