Lescott completes Manchester City move

Joleon Lescott finally completed his move from Everton to Manchester City.

The 27-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract with the company Eastlands last night.

Lescott yesterday concluded his medical and agreed personal terms after the city had an offer of £ 22 million from Everton had taken on Sunday, but there was a short time, the star of England has been resolved by a transfer minor dispute.

Confirmation of the transfer of expenditure was Mark Hughes, "more than £ 120million.

Lescott should now be officially presented tomorrow, and could make his debut in the game on Sunday Premier League with Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

City boss Mark Hughes told the club's official website www.mcfc.co.uk: "I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Joleon at Manchester City. It is an England international, who his ability in the Premier League during his time at Everton proved.

"By Joleon club, I think we've hired a lawyer of the highest quality. He can play in a series of defensive positions, and I am sure he will make a significant impact for us."

Lescott is the eighth new signing Mark Hughes this summer and is considered the long-term for the central defensive partner Kolo Toure.

And news of the arrival of the former Wolves man at Eastlands has filed a complaint immediately, that the City has accepted an offer of 6 million pounds from Aston Villa for Richard Dunne.

The Blues have not confirmed this trend. However, it would not be surprised if Dunne was to be abandoned, is not likely that he was satisfied with life as his replacement, especially since Hughes Mladen Petric offered a long term contract last month.

Lescott said: "I am overjoyed to complete the transition, and I look forward to training with the guys, because I trained not only for a few days.

"I know some guys already - I am a close friend were playing with Shaun (Wright-Phillips), we are against each other since we were 16 or 17 years. The way this club is to continue, I am really curious part of it. "

Lescott is to be unveiled at the press conference at the City of Manchester Stadium tomorrow at 11 clock.
